Bedford Burlesque

20th June 2009 was a very exciting day for little old Bedford. Pulses raced at our very first Bedford Burlesque night and Bedfordshire Rollergirls were there to support the most daring event the Civic Theatre had ever seen! Cherry Bomb, Track Widow and Bettie Trubble all donned skates and corsets and fluttered their false eyelashes at the Burlesque guests, serving them with delicious handmade cupcakes as they enjoyed acts from Missy Star, Ida Dulight and Kitty Blue to name but a few. We were very pleased to have remained upright all night, with no cupcake accidents to speak of, and are looking forward to the next one at Halloween!
